| Genesis records the beginnings of the heavens, the earth, the plants, the animals, human life, and all human institutions & relationships. It commences with chaos and ruin, out of which God brings order and hope. |

From chaos the perfect creation was created but it returned to form, ending sadly in a coffin in Egypt. The needed rescue is set forth in the next book, Exodus. This limerick tracks the events in Genesis sequentially using the names of its principal characters, Adam, Noah, Abraham*, Isaac*, Jacob, and Joseph. Read the two links below.

In the garden was Paradise lost, Eve and Adam ignoring the cost. Noah’s flood cleaned it up. Abe* and Ike* shared the sup. but Jake’s son, the Red Sea never crossed.
