Jeremiah 22: 30 - Curse of Coniah vs. Jesus

One reason Jesus had to be born of a virgin was because Joseph was a descendant of evil King Jehoiakim’s son Jeconiah whose family was disqualified forever from sitting on the Throne of David.  See the two links below.

Matthew’s genealogy (Matthew 1: 11) traces Joseph’s ancestry to the forever disqualified Jeconiah (also called Jehoiachin), the son of Jehoiakim.  Had Joseph been the father, it would have colored any claim Jesus might make to be the Messiah and heir to the Throne of David, ruling over Judah.  His virgin birth without the assistance of Joseph eliminated any such doubt.

Is Jesus Legit?

From Coniah?  A vessel unfit,

on the throne of King David to sit.

So God used His own Seed,

thus fulfilling the need

for a sire to keep Jesus le-git.

virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.  Luke, in his gospel, possibly to pre-empt the question, lost no time in addressing Jesus rightful claim to this throne, "He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David"  Compare the two links below.
