Ezra 2: 35 - Exiles Returning From Captivity

These are the people who came back from the captivity, those whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away to Babylon, and who were returning to Jerusalem and Judah. 

     It is a tedious list, so we offer this limerick explaining the reason.  But first read the two links below.

of some guys who no longer exist,

we have figured it out,

what the list’s all about:

It’s God’s way to be sure none got missed.


 

Bible lists are there for several reasons. 

   1,   No biography is complete without a long list of the hero’s ancestors.

   2,   These lists confirm names located elsewhere in the Bible.

   3,   All of us keep lists.  So does the Bible.  It is a great time-saver when studying the scriptures (See link below).
